Instructors

Strings & Things Music's thriving lesson program offers a wealth of resources to meet your musical goals! As an engaged, active part of the thriving central New Hampshire music scene we prioritize passing on our collective love of music and expertise in performance to anyone ready to continue their musical journey with professional instruction.

With a full roster of experienced, pedigreed instructors & 15 lesson rooms we proudly accommodate hundreds of students per week on almost 2 dozen different instruments. Many of our instructors offer recitals and other extra-curricular events. Our students have participated and placed in all-state competitions, and regularly go on to collegiate studies in music. Other students pick up an instrument for the first time in early childhood or in retirement, looking to enjoy the joyful benefits of having more music in their lives.

Our rates are also the most competitive in the area for a music instruction program of our caliber and tenure. We don't want cost or administrative fees to be prohibitive to your ability to connect with a teacher and learn music. Our rates are NOT tuition-based, payment is made monthly, not seasonally, and payments are made directly to the instructor. Lessons are just $36 per half hour or $72 per hour, and your lesson time is the same each week. You can REGISTER FOR LESSONS NOW here on our site, or contact us for more info. We hope to see you soon, and to make music together for a long time!

William Lindberg

It started pretty early.  After attending a McCoy Tyner concert when I was three and a half years old, my father asked me if I might like to play music.  I told him that I would and after some discussion, I chose the drum set.  By the age of four, I began serious study with an incredible local drummer.

At the age of six, my family moved to NH.  Since I was homeschooled and completely smitten with music and the drums, we quickly found a NH-based teacher with whom I could study.  This led to an interest in performing and at eight years of age, I made my professional debut.  I think getting handed a wad of cash after doing something that I love made the 8yo me even more fascinated with this whole music thing!

Now, I freelance, do some work in the studio and perform with the following bands Mr. Aaron, Eric Lindberg Band, Chase/Campbell Band, The Perimeter Big Band and NH All State Jazz Ensemble

Since I first sat behind the kit, I have sought out the best players and teachers in the world.  Here is a partial list of people with whom I have studied with John Medeiros,Mike Mangini, Dave Dicenso, Ramon Montagner, Carmen Intorre, Jeff Samataro, Andy Gagnon, Steve Hunt(Piano and Jazz Theory), Benjamin Greene(AP Music Theory), Joe Gatusso(Guitar) and Gabe Jarrett.

I am thankful to each and every one of them for the help and insight that they have provided. I would be grateful for the opportunity to share what I have learned with you.

Specialties include but are not limited to Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Drum Kit, Polyrhythms, Progressive Drumming, Jazz Performance, Beginner and intermediate Guitar, Traditional Theory, Audition Preparation, Jazz and Concert Band Preparation.

Thank you for considering.
