Used 1961 Fender Stratocaster
1961 Fender Stratocaster
Here is a rare opportunity to own a true classic at a fraction of the cost. Manufactured before the CBS buyout, when Fender was still Fender, this is a very nice early example of the guitar that kick started the rock revolution, and inspired countless players – from greats like Hendrix, Clapton and Beck to dreamers like the kid next door.
This instrument has two older and professionally done modifications – hence the reduced price. It has been refinished very nicely to a warm, natural light walnut, and a switch has been added allowing the player to pair the neck and middle pickups to provide even greater tonal flexibility.
Apart from these changes, the guitar is all original, even down to its original case which is in very good shape. The guitar plays beautifully up and down the neck, and sounds fantastic. It looks great too. Please check the photos for all the cosmetic details. The tremolo bar and bridge cover, along with a vintage strap, are also included.
Yes, it has a couple of older, nicely done modifications. But c’mon, it’s a 1961 Strat! Don’t miss this chance to own a piece of rock n’ roll history at a very reasonable price.
